Job Purpose: As part of the Engineering Team in a strongly growing organization, your role is to design, machine prototypes, proof of concept on many development projects to support engineers. You will have to excel at setting up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments for research and development projects. Maintain and upgrade machine shop department to ensure machined parts quality according to engineering specifications. Mastering mechanics knowledge, CNC programming, metal properties and machining methods.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities: · Support metal working projects from planning, and fabrication through assembly, inspection and testing, using machinery knowledge, metal properties, and trigonometry mathematics. · Design fixture, tooling, or experimental parts to meet complex engineering needs. · Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools such as 3 axis milling machines, CNC and conventional. Lathe and all standard shop equipment. · Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometer, caliper, optical measuring machine. · Support engineers with state-of-the-art design for manufacturing. · Mastering cad drafting for the engineering department according to standards. · Monitor and optimize machine’s feed and speed during machining process. · Maintain machine tools and machine shop in proper operational condition. · Diagnose machine tool malfunction to determine need for adjustment or repairs · Programming CNC machine, design and drafting with Solidworks.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · A machinist degree or a technical degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent. · Moderate years of machining experience. CNC and conventional. · Proven track record of CNC programming and manual machining techniques. · Superior ability for precision manufacturing and deep knowledge of mechanical manufacturing. · Mastering a CAM software, knowledge of Solid works, Knowledge of Microsoft Office. · Able to coordinate several projects at different levels of priority with multiple deadlines. · Excellent interpersonal, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. · Autonomous, and energetic.
